The Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) will host a special event in Hamilton on Friday, May 11, 2018, as part of the IPC’s Reaching Out to Ontario program. Commissioner Brian Beamish and other IPC executives will use this occasion to update Ontarians on the emerging access and privacy issues facing the province’s health and public sectors.

Presentation by Brian Beamish, Commissioner, and David Goodis, Assistant Commissioner Policy & Corporate Services

This session will explore key issues related to access to information and open government, recent decisions, and access and privacy implications of the recently proclaimed Child, Youth and Family Services Act.

Latest Developments in Protecting Personal Health Information
Presentation by Suzanne Brocklehurst, IPC Registrar, and Debra Grant, Director of Health Policy

This session will explore mandatory breach reporting and new code of procedure for matters under PHIPA.
