Protecting Patient Privacy: Preventing Patient Harm

June 4, 2015, 8pm - 8pm
Location
Ottawa,

Recently, there have been a number of high-profile privacy breaches where personal health information was accessed by health professionals for unauthorized purposes. Whether out of curiosity, personal gain or simple concern about the health of friends and family, snooping through medical records can have devastating consequences for patients, health professionals and the health system as a whole.

Please join us for a special event being hosted by The Ottawa Hospital to cap-off their Privacy Week to learn how this important issue is being addressed and how patient privacy can be preserved going forward.

If you are not available to attend in person, the event will also be webcast over the Ontario Telemedicine Network.
