IPC Coming to Thunder Bay - May 3
The Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) will be hosting a special event in Thunder Bay on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, as part of the IPC’s Reaching Out to Ontario program. Commissioner Brian Beamish and other IPC executives will use this occasion to update Ontarians on the emerging access and privacy issues facing the province’s health and public sectors. The Commissioner will give an overview of the latest developments at the IPC followed by two panel sessions, one covering access and privacy issues in detail and the other looking at the latest developments under Ontario’s health privacy laws. Each session will focus on changes to legislation, new policies and procedures, recent decisions and orders and best practices and guidelines for information management.
