Reaching Out to Ontario: London

The Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) will host a special event at Western University on September 27, 2016, as part of our Reaching Out to Ontario program. Commissioner Brian Beamish and other IPC leaders will recognize Right to Know Week by highlighting the ongoing evolution to more transparent and accountable government in all parts of the province. Celebrated in more than 40 countries around the world, Right to Know Week promotes the enormous benefits of Open Government.

This informative event will feature a variety of discussion topics, including, but not limited to:

  • implementing Open Government programs
  • the burgeoning challenges of conducting business on personal devices
  • protecting patient privacy
  • recent developments and decisions in access to information
  • police record checks and street checks
